cast of characters:

Ivar The Timewalker: Ivar, the Timewalker has experienced the passage of thousands of years, just like his immortal brothers, Gilad and Aram. Unlike them, or anyone else, Ivar has spent his years skipping around from one point in history to the next. Able to find natural "time arcs" that carry him from era to era, Ivar might be in the present one week, and in 41st - Century North Am the next. This gets to be tricky for Ivar, who must take care to do nothing that could change history--even though this pledge of non-interference often leads to some difficult choices. But his time jumps aren't motivated by curiosity or adventure, Ivar only hopes that the next time arc will place him back in the arms of his one, great love--lost in another time.

Rebecca SimmsRebecca Simms is the granddaughter of the Golden Age Dr Tomorrow, and daughter of the Silver Age Dr. Tomorrow. Rebecca lived in the Reality known as VH 2, till she was recruited by "The Director", the leader of the group known as The T.I.M.E. Vaulters, a group dedicated to maintain both temporal and dimensional order across the multiverse.

Magnus MotherGod Fighter: Son of Torque Torkelson and Kris Hathaway, Magnus was send into the future by Ivar after Geoff McHenry, Geomancer of The Late 20th Century asked him to do so. Magnus was send into the 40th Century to help mankind against the power of MotherGod Pierce and the devil incarnate, Master Darque.

Through The Looking Glass Part IX:

"The Trip Home, Part II"

September 10th, 4001, 12:06 a.m. EST:

MotherGod'sChamber:

A few seconds ago Ivar Anni-Padda,Rebecca Simms and Magnus entered MotherGod'sRainbow Tower, and to their surprise (or at least to the surprise of Ivar and Magnus) they entered just as Master DarqueHigh Priest of The European Consortium, accompanied by his Darque Squad zombies entered the room.

"It'll be my pleasure to utterly destroy you Mr. Anni-Padda, and with your death my control over this plane of reality will be absolute."

Rebecca tossed Ivar and Magnus a metallic disk. "Put it on your belts!"

Ivar and Magnus did as told and suddenly everyone in the room stopped moving.

"What happened?" asked Ivar.

"We're moving outside of time. The effect will only last a few seconds. We have to get The Heart of Darkness out from Darque." responded Rebecca.

"I'll do it,” said Magnus as he approached Master Darque.

"He doesn't have it with him."

"It's inside him, he replaced his real heart with the Heart of Darkness as soon as he got It." said Rebecca, as she approached the door to the chamber, as if preparing to leave it.

"Inside you say?" said Magnus as he was preparing to rip open Darque's chest, but as his fist was about to hit it was grabbed by Darque's hand.

"Now, you don't want to do that child." said Darque as he flipped Magnus and threw him across the room.

Magnus crashed against Erica's containment chamber, and it cracked.

"Oh no! We have to get out of here before it opens. If MotherGod is freed this entire structure will surely be destroyed." said Rebecca, while already outside the room. "Ivar, grab Magnus and let's go!"

"Clever girl, but this won't help you. I'll find you again, all 3 of you and when I do you will die." Was the last thing Darque said before teleporting himself back to his hover ship?

"RebeccaMagnus doesn't look good. I think he's been poisoned by Erica's radiation,” said Ivar while grabbing Magnus off the floor. Meanwhile Erica's containment chamber kept breaking apart, releasing radiation all over the place.

"We have to go back to our cave, remember the one I took you to when we met?" said Rebecca while approachingIvar to help him lift Magnus.

"Yes, I do. Come on, if the tower hasn't changed since the last time the air vent shaft is this way." responded Ivar while carrying Magnus to the end of the hallway, to a ventilation vent.

"Right behind you." said Rebecca while stepping back inside Erica's chamber.

Rebecca activated a force field on her belt. "Hi Erica, long time no see, but I remember you, and the torture you put me through. I just wanted to thank you, because if it weren't for the sacrifice you're about to make my whole reality wouldn't exist." and as she said that Rebecca placed a T.I.M.E. Vaulter disk on Erica's containment chamber. "Goodbye, MotherGod." Rebecca left the room and ran towards the vent shaft.

"What kept you? Never mind, the air updraft will be stopping soon and we don't have much time to waste. I already suited Magnus for the fall, but I...I don't think he'll make It." said Ivar.

"Don't worry about him, he's just an alternate, he wasn't meant to survive, remember? They will all die once we go back to 1991 and prevent your pass self from saving MOTA." said Rebecca.

"That's a cold thing to s..."

"No time now, jump!" said Rebecca as she grabbed Ivar from the lapel of his coat and pushed him into the shaft.

September 10th, 4001, 12:14 a.m. EST:

Outside the Rainbow Tower:

Rebecca and Ivar come out carrying the body of Magnus, which has severe indications of being poisoned by radiation.

"Leave him, there's nothing we can do for him, and we have a mission to finish."

"What? He helped us, you can't just..."

"Helped us? He did nothing! His only reason for being was for him to be send into the future and to help people, but as far as "us" is concerned he was meant to die after crashing into the chamber, that's it! Now move or stay behind, I don't need you anymore." was the last thing Rebecca said before turning around and walking towards her cave. "And now if you'll excuse me I'm tired and want to go home."

"Stop right there! You're not going anywhere till we help Magnus and till you answer some questions. I'm tired of being your..."

"My what, my puppet? Get it through your head little man; the only reason we're in this mess is because of you and your damn conscience. You just had to be the hero and save the poor science nerd from jumping into the pit. Well I have news for you: You killed everyone! You're little act of heroism killed an Infinite number of people, not only humans but aliens, deities and just about every living thing in an Infinite number of Realities. So don't give me a lecture about saving lives. The only reason I'm here is to make sure that...never mind. Are you coming?"

"Never mind? Are you crazy? Now that you've finally started to talk you suddenly stop?!? No way!" said an angry Ivar.

Suddenly Darque's Hover Ship appeared behind them.

"Shit! Come on! Move! We have to go back to the cave before it's too late." said Rebecca, grabbing Ivar by the lapel and pulling him. Behind them Magnus' body deteriorated 'till it became dust.

Ivar and Rebecca ran towards the cave, while the Hover Ship fired bolts of energy at them. Rebecca took out her gun and started to fire at the ship, with no results.

After a few minutes Ivar and Rebecca arrived at the cave.

"We're save here. Now look straight at the top of the tower, the light show is about to begin.,” said Rebecca. "Now listen to me carefully. You have to go back to 1991, right before this whole mess started, and I can't go with you, you'll be alone. You have to go now, but there's something you most know. The time arc wont' close behind you. You'll arrive a day before your past self does, and in that time you have to plant seeds for the future, as well as make sure that you don't save MOTA a second time. The time arc is your only way back to the proper reality, and once you cross it it'll...well, you'll find out what it'll do once it happens. Now go!" and with that Rebecca gave Ivar a kiss goodbye, while behind her a T.I.M.E. Vaulters time gateway appeared. Behind Ivar a time arc appeared, and the wind caused by both the gateway and the arc lifted Ivar's coat and Rebecca's long hair. Meanwhile the Hover Ship stopped firing, as behind it the Rainbow Tower began to explode. Inside Erica's chamber The T.I.M.E. Vault disk Rebecca left behind began to hum, and a force field enveloped the chamber. The force field began to grow, an inch every 90 seconds.

Back in the cave:

"I'm sorry I made you leave Magnus, but he wasn't as real as me and."

"And me. You said it yourself, I'm not real either, and I was created to serve a purpose. Now I must go fix this mess..." but before Ivar could finish he was struck down by an energy blast from...

...The Warmaster!

"You can't run whelp, I'll hunt you down till you're nothing but a memory!"

"Ivar, no! This wasn't supposed to happen! The timeline has changed! I didn't foresee this! You have to..." but before Rebecca could finish another of The Warmaster’s energy blast, which tripped her, struck her and she fell inside The T.I.M.E. Vaulter gateway, which closed immediately after. Rebecca's gun fell out of her holster just as she was pushed into the gateway.

"Rebeccaaaaaaaaa!Ivar yelled just before The Warmaster rammed into him.

"You won't leave, you'll stay and die with us!" said the raving Gilad.

"We'll see about that little brother. So far I wasn't trying to hurt you, but enough is enough!" and with that Ivar grabbed Gilad by the shoulders and tripped him with his legs. Gilad fell on the floor.

"You don't live as long as me and not pick up a trick or two baby brother."

Ivar pressed the X shield on The Warmaster'sX-O armor and it reverted back to its bubble shape, hovering above the 2.

"Noooooo! How did you know that?"

"The real owner, Aric Dacia, mentioned it while on a bender, now shut up, you...alternate."

Ivar picked up Rebecca's gun and fired a shot right between Gilad's eyes.

"That's for you Aram, may God rest your soul."

September 10th, 4001, 12:30 a.m. EST:

Ivar stood in front of the time arc, Gilad's body at his feet and the X-O armor hovering above him. Behind him Darque's Hover Ship in a holding position, and in the horizon MotherGod's Rainbow Tower still was exploding with energy.

"Well Rebecca, you're gone and all I have left is this arc, which I'm not sure I want to enter. If I stay, I'll die, and if I go in, I don't know what will happen. I'll have to trust you, one last time. Here goes nothing."

Meanwhile inside Darque's Ship:

Ched Boniface entered Darque's Sanctum.

"Master, the necromantic scanners indicate that life in the tower is ending, and we should expect a necromantic flux of incalculable measure, and that if this keeps up in less than a day the whole world will become a giant graveyard, fitted only for those with mastery...."

"...Over The Necro arts, like myself. Very well Ched, you may leave and join your loved ones, for what's left of the day. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Back in the cave Ivar looked into the X-O armor.

"Should I take it? Will it help me or cause even grater problems? Rebecca mentioned that I'm supposed to plant seeds for the future. Is the introduction of the X-O armor into that reality one of those seeds? I guess there's only one way to find out."

Ivar took the X-O's control ring off Gilad's dead body and put it on his finger.

"Come...err, good skin. We have some good to do."

And with that Ivar jumped into the time arc, the X-O behind him.

Behind him the force field left by Rebecca kept growing, enveloping the upper part of the tower.

September 6th, 1991, 10:05 a.m. EST:

Muskogee, Oklahoma:

The Home of Dr. Phil Seleski:

"Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow." was the babble heard from Dr. Seleski's room as he talked in his sleep, thinking about the fact that tomorrow was the day that theEdgewater Nuclear ResearchCenter was going to activate his newest invention: a nuclear reactor, capable of giving new life to the entire world...or destroying it.

Suddenly Ivar's time arc appeared right outside of Phil's window. Ivar, followed by The Warmaster's X-Oarmor came tumbling out of it.

"Ugh, this is the part I hate."

Ivar got up from the floor and looked into his tracker:

Date: September 6th, 1991, 10:05 a.m. EST

Location: Muskogee, Oklahoma

"One day, that's all I have left till my past self arrives. I can't believe I'm gonna have to fight myself."

"Good skin, stay here and protect the time arc, no matter what."

The X-O armor grew to its normal size and stood guard over the arc.

"Well Ivar old pal, once more into the breach, but this time let's make it rights."
